<< SIDE VIEW >> Switch to vertex mode and select the inside circle vertices, using the Lasso Selection Tool. Scale them ONLY in the Y and Z direction to align them with the outer ring on the blueprint.

<< SIDE VIEW >> Take the bottom group and scale them in a bit to align with the ring. *Include the center vertices as well; they are currently hidden by the Scale Tool. Technically, it does not matter in this situation.

<< SIDE VIEW >> Add an additional edge loops so that we can better form the ring using the Cut Face Tool. Hold {Shift} to lock the cut at 45°angles. Place two horizontal cuts crossing the ring equidistantly. This will be used to round out the shape. *Use default Interactive cut settings. **See horizontal cuts high lighted in brown. |

<< PERSPECTIVE VIEW >> Select all the faces that represent the groove. Select one face in the groove face loop. + double-click an adjacent face in the groove face loop. With all the faces in the grove selected, extrude the faces down just a tad. Making a slight groove. Edit Polygons > Extrude | << PERSPECTIVE VIEW >> It should look something like this. Here are the extruded faces in the Perspective View. Change the Thickness to -0.03. This will give it a nice groove. | |
